On Netflix Anime Consistently Ranks in Top 10 Most Watched Programs Worldwide

On Sunday the authorized YouTube channel of TV Asahi's All-Nippon News Network started to telecast a video about Netflix anime. The video discloses that anime constantly got the position in the top 10 most watched types of program globally. The video also features a behind the scenes look at the Wit Studio which is working on the original anime Vampire in the Garden that is planned to premiere on streaming service worldwide in 2021.

It was disclosed by Netflix on its website earlier this month that anime viewership was "up over 100%" in the United States on the streaming platform this year.  The movie Pokémon: Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution was the most viewed anime title this year.

It was also reported by Entertainment news source Variety that according to the Vice President of content at Netflix India Monika Shergill, anime viewership across Asia also doubled in 2020.
